The Lodge at Loon Lake has a rich heritage that mirrors its location's tranquil yet adventurous spirit. Established as The Viking Motel in 1956, it was a beloved stop for travelers seeking the simple joys of lakeside vacationing. The property's evolution into The Lodge at Loon Lake is a testament to its enduring appeal.
In the 1980s, new owners rebranded the property as Conway's Lake Manor. The motel continued to offer cozy accommodations and a warm welcome to guests exploring the Adirondacks. Recognizing the potential to elevate this iconic spot, the current owners embarked on a comprehensive renovation to breathe new life into the property.

Over the past year, the new owners undertook extensive renovations to transform The Lodge at Loon Lake into a boutique motel that balances contemporary design with classic Adirondack aesthetics.

The lodge now offers eight meticulously designed guest rooms, each featuring a blend of modern conveniences and classic Adirondack aesthetics. Large windows fill the rooms with natural light, enhancing the spacious atmosphere and providing clear views of tranquil Loon Lake.
All accommodations at The Lodge at Loon Lake have been thoughtfully designed to provide modern conveniences like flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and keyless entry. Guest rooms feature sumptuous bedding and plush linens and towels. Each room has a private balcony overlooking the lake, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. All rooms are non-smoking, further enhancing guests’ comfort.
While updates have brought the property firmly into the 21st century, the design pays homage to the area's heritage with locally sourced décor and Adirondack-inspired furniture.
The outdoor spaces have also been revitalized, including restoring the property’s private swimming beach, installing a lakeside fire pit perfect for evening storytelling, private docks for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing, and manicured grounds that invite leisurely strolls.
