The Gem, Bolton Landing
So many puns, so little time. Let’s just say this is a jewel in the Lake George Region.
Look no further than The Gem for delectable dining in Bolton Landing. It's a jewel of a restaurant with mouthwatering smokehouse entrees, hand-crafted cocktails, and a cozy atmosphere.
We highly recommend beginning with one of their expertly made cocktails. Their extensive cocktail menu is sure to have something to wet your whistle.
You can start your culinary journey with their tempting array of starters. Our favorite on the current menu is the Sweet Corn Elote, their take on Mexican Street Corn that will have you licking your fingers. Roasted corn on the cob with a mouthwatering garlic aioli-parmesan sauce. We held on to the serving dish to dip our bread into the sauce after the corn was gone. Yum.
Other popular starters are the smoky chicken wings, succulent peel-and-eat shrimp, and refreshing salads.

When it comes to entrees, The Gem takes things up a notch with their smoked meat platters. Their hand-crafted brisket and ribs are both outstanding and bursting with rich flavor.
Full confession: we humbly consider ourselves BBQ connoisseurs — we built our own smoker and have been perfecting our recipes for years. We've indulged extensively in BBQ in Austin, Houston, Kansas City, Memphis and Little Rock.
We've even been to the ultimate BBQ throw-down at the American Royal in Kansas City. We can vouch that the folks at The Gem know their way around a BBQ pit.
Their sandwich options are also delectable. In particular, the fried chicken sandwich is, by far, the best chicken sandwich we’ve ever had.
Believe it or not, vegetarian options are available. And, while we aren’t willing to give up our carnivorous instincts, the portobello sandwich looked great. The Mac' n Cheese was also delectable.
