Garnet Hill Lodge: Adirondack Resort
Escape to this four-season inn near Gore Mountain to enjoy the many delights of the Adirondack Park.
Garnet Hil Lodge is more than a hotel; with its miles of private trails, it’s a nationally-acclaimed Nordic ski center, a mountain bike park, a place to hike, and a place for paddling and swimming in a crystal-clear and unsullied Adirondack lake.
Guests arrive at the Garnet Hill Lodge after a steep climb up a winding road and are rewarded with splendid views of the surrounding Adirondack Mountains and exquisite Thirteenth Lake.
The rooms at Garnet Hill Lodge are cozy, inviting and spotlessly clean. The decor is rustic-charming with an emphasis on guests’ comfort and relaxation. The main building, or Log House, offers balcony rooms or standard rooms with a king- or queen-size bed. They all feature beautiful woodwork and private baths. Other Amenities include:
AC
Newly renovated bathrooms
Wifi
Full breakfast daily
Additional rooms are available in the Tea House and Birches lodges, a short distance from the Main Building. These rooms are perfect for families. They offer spacious rooms, some with day beds or seating areas, and feature the amenities above plus:
In-room televisions
Coffee and team makers
Some rooms also have kitchenettes and jetted tubs
In the summer and fall, guests have full access to Garnet Hill beach on Thirteenth Lake for swimming, canoeing or kayaking. The lake is extraordinary -- accessible via a hike from the Lodge, no powerboats are allowed, and the beach is the only place you will find human activity. It’s like having your own private pristine lake in the middle of the wilderness. Other warm-weather activities include fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and yoga.
Wintertime is absolutely delightful at Garnet Hill. Guests have access to miles of cross-country ski and snowshoe trails. Garnet Hill has its own full-service ski shop. They carry everything you need from ski equipment to clothing and all the accessories.
Breakfast is included in your stay. Garnet Hill boasts a delightful restaurant, the Log House (also open to the public). The cuisine is American with a distinctive Adirondack character, emphasizing seasonal, local and fresh ingredients. Check the website for current menus and open hours. Lil’ ADKers have their own menu, too. Reservations are a must.
There are additional dining options in nearby North Creek, Chestertown, and surrounding towns.
If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the many outdoor pursuits the ADK offers, the Garnet Hill Lodge is an excellent choice.
