Adirondack Snowshoe Adventures with Up Yonda Farm’s Naturalists
Learn to snowshoe and gain insight into winter ecology on a naturalist-led hikes in Bolton Landing on Lake George.
Up Yonda Farm is offering a terrific program that teaches the fundamentals of snowshoeing along with a Naturalist-led hike on weekends in January and February. Participants of any snowshoeing skill are welcome.
The program begins with instruction on snowshoeing basics, and then the group heads out on a one-mile, hour-long hike across Up Yonda Farm’s property. Along the trail, participants learn more about animal tracking, winter ecology, and the Farm's history.
One special bonus: hikers will stop at Up Yonda Farm’s scenic vista point, providing a spectacular view of Lake George, the Queen of American Lakes. The program finishes near the Farmhouse, where participants can warm up by the campfire and enjoy hot chocolate.
The hikes take place on Saturdays at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm at Up Yonda Farm’s facilities in Bolton Landing on Lake George. Reservations are recommended via a non-refundable reservation deposit of $1/person on Up Yonda’s website. They will accept walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis. Snowshoe rentals in child and adult sizes are available for on-site use.

Snowshoe rental only (adult and child sizes available, only for use at Up Yonda Farm): $5 per pair, no time limit
