Saranac Lake’s 2024 Winter Carnival Events: Saturday, Feb. 10
Experience the Magic of Saranac Lake's Winter Wonderland
Every year in February, the charming town of Saranac Lake, nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Park, transforms into a captivating winter wonderland.
For ten days, locals and visitors alike are treated to a variety of thrilling winter activities that are bound to create lasting memories for the whole family.
On the tenth day, the fun-filled adventure continues with snow rugby, a demo by Paul Smith’s students, the Gala Parade, and the incredible closing fireworks extravaganza.
If you’re a frequent Saranac Lake Winter Carnival attendee, please note that organizers moved the closing fireworks to Saturday night. In the past, they were held on the last day of the Carnival, usually a Sunday.

All Day Clue Hunt — Can you solve the clues to navigate your way through town? Available 24/7 outside the History Hut and Gift Shop near the Ice Palace every day of the carnival.
10 am - 11 am Meet the Winter Carnival Characters at the Ice Palace (Ice Palace, State Boat Launch)
10 am *CanAm Snow Rugby (Saranac Lake High School Track Field, 79 Canaras Ave, Call 518-524-5841)
11 am *Paul Smiths Woodsmen Exhibition (Riverside Park). Watch Adirondack college lumberpeople in the event that shows speed, skill and strength skills.
Noon Gala Parade Line-Up (Register at Nice N Easy Mobil, 196 Broadway Ave)
1 pm Gala Parade presented by Casella Waste and North Country Community College (From the firehouse on Broadway to LaPan Highway)
7 pm New Time and New Day Guide Boat Realty "Storming the Ice Palace" Closing Fireworks at the Ice Palace
