Tavern on the Lake is part of the Blue Water Manor family resort complex in beautiful Bolton Landing. Operating May through October, Tavern patrons can arrive by car or water.
The Tavern sits on a stone cliff directly over the water, offering diners spectacular uninterrupted views of Lake George. In addition to dining, The Tavern has a large bar area to enjoy a cocktail while taking in the scenery.
The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, with a menu with many options to suit various tastes. They are open for all-day-dining. The food is classic American. Breakfast offerings include eggs, omelets, griddle items, and breakfast sandwiches. The lunch menu consists of various salads, burgers, and sandwiches. The dinner menu features a range of beef, seafood, and chicken options, with a lighter fare menu available, too.
The Tavern doesn’t take reservations, so expect a wait on sunny days. Blue Water Manor has two other seasonal restaurants. Pumpernickels is open during the summer months. In addition to authentic german cuisine, Pumpernickels is also the home to the largest cuckoo clock in the United States.
The Blue Water Manor complex has winter lodging options, as well. The Bolton Barrel is their winter dining destination from late fall to early spring.
