Lake George’s Epic Ice Bar Returns
The Sagamore’s Glacier Ice Bar heats up our winter nights for two weekends each year.

The Sagamore Resort's annual Glacier Ice Bar has become a wintertime tradition in Bolton Landing and the Lake George region. Every year, they transform 50,000 pounds of ice into bars, barstools, chairs, tables, and even glassware, plus magnificent sculptures (one of our all-time favorites was of a VW microbus.
We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2025. The Glacier Ice Bar opens at 4 pm on Friday, January 24 and is open on Saturday, January 25, from 1 pm to 10 pm.
They will also be open the following weekend, January 31-February 1, with the same hours.

The Glacier Ice Bar is located at the Shelving Rock Terrace of The Sagamore Resort, offering stunning views of Lake George and the resort's historic grounds, which date back to 1883.

The bar features unique ice luges at both ends, along with signature polar bear ice sculptures that provide great photo opportunities.
Comfortable lounge seating is adorned with faux fur blankets, creating a cozy atmosphere. Additionally, guests can warm up in a series of heated private igloos or at the chili chowder lounge between visits to the bar.
The menu offers a variety of handcrafted cocktails, including warm alcoholic coffee drinks and festive concoctions made with cranberry, vodka, and champagne.

Guests staying at the resort enjoy automatic entry to the ice bar. If you are not staying overnight, you must purchase a ticket. For more information, visit the Sagamore’s website.
The Glacier Ice Bar will be open two weekends in 2025: January 24 - 25 and January 31-February 1.
Hours are 4 to 10 pm on Fridays and 1–10 pm on Saturdays.
