The Great Brant Lake Canoe Race

Get ready to experience a beautiful southern Adirondack lake in a fun and exciting 6-mile race. The race takes paddlers down the length of Brant Lake’s picturesque shores.

Competitive classifications include SUPs, Solo Kayaks, Tandem Kayaks, Solo Canoes, Tandem Kayaks, and Guideboats.

The race will begin at 9:30 am on August 10th, 2024, at Hoyt's Beach on Palisades Road at the north end of Brant Lake in Horicon, NY. The race will finish at Horicon Town Beach and the Horicon Community Center.

Schedule of events.

August 9th, 2024

• 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Packet/ Number pickup at Food Truck Friday on the pond in Brant Lake

​August 10th, 2024

• ​7:15 am to 8:15 an Packet/Number pickup at Horicon Community Center

• 9:00 am Paddler Meeting at the start of the race

• 9:30 am Race Start

• 12:00 pm Race Awards Ceremony

• 1:30 pm Kids' Scavenger Hunt

• 1:30 pm "The Gnarly Gerbil" MTB Scavenger Challenge – Presented with UHTA

• 1:30 pm After-Race Party at The Hub
