Warrensburg’s 61st Annual Smoke Eaters Jamboree

Enjoy a favorite family-friendly carnival with rides, great food, live music, games and fireworks.

The Smoke Eaters* Jamboree is two evenings of family entertainment hosted by the Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Company. This is a favorite summer event in the area and will be held at the Warrensburg Recreation Field on Library Avenue.

Each night, the gates open at 6 pm and visitors are treated to a carnival, rides, the famous chicken BBQ, live entertainment, booming fireworks, delicious food, and more.

On Friday, visitors pay a $3 entry donation and a $5 entry on Saturday.

Local goods will be auctioned on Friday at around 6:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Aquanett (a tribute to the 80's) will hit the stage at 6:30 p.m.

In addition, AFTER-FX DJ Service, Freckles the Clown, Mr. Magic Man, and Mr. Twisty will also provide live music and entertainment on Saturday.

Close out the night with Fireworks as well.

*Smoke Eater was a nickname for Firefighters before Air Packs were used while fighting fires. Smoke Eaters had no clean air source and would enter a fire to search for people and fight the fire, which would end up with the Firefighters inhaling (eating) the smoke from the fire.
