The renowned North Country Jazz Project will light up Tannery Pond Center on Saturday, December 28, performing Big Band standards and contemporary compositions.
The North Country Jazz Project is an eighteen-piece big band directed by David Hosley. The group includes saxes, trumpets, trombones, and rhythm sections. They will perform big band music from the libraries of Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Maynard Ferguson, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Glen Miller, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, as well as more recent jazz orchestra composers such as Alan Baylock, Chuck Mangione, and Sammy Nestico. The band has been together for ten years and has many loyal followers.
