Tannery Pond Center
Celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2022, Tannery Pond Community Center (TPC), located on Main Street in North Creek, is dedicated to bringing the best performances, art exhibits and community events to the Gore Mountain & Schroon Lake area in New York’s Adirondack region.
TPC offers a variety of musical performances throughout the year – folk, rock, classical, jazz, and bluegrass – in the state-of-the-art Lyle Dye Auditorium, where every sound and artistic nuance can be heard and appreciated.
The Adirondacks have a rich history as a retreat for artists and musicians from major markets like New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. TPC regularly features touring artists and performers, as well as local acts from inside the Adirondacks’ blue line.
However, TPC is more than a music venue; they present a full schedule of arts programming year-round, including theatrical performances, dance, movies, exhibits of original art, workshops, and children’s programs.
Performers enjoy the intimate feel of the Dye Auditorium, which features comfortable seating for 150 patrons, exceptional acoustics, stage lighting, a public address sound system, and an open dance floor area.
The Widlund Gallery hosts rotating exhibits each month and is open Monday-Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm and on Sundays when the “open” flag is flying outside the facility.
In the spirit of serving the local community, the facility is also available to residents of Johnsburg (North Creek is part of Johnsburg) for private use if needed. Individual residents can rent parts of the facility once a year free of charge for purposes such as family reunions, graduation parties, memorial services, and other events that might exceed the space available in their homes.
To see what’s coming up, please view TPC's upcoming events on their home page.
