About the John C. Bogle Roundtable Series
The John C. Bogle Adirondack Roundtable Series is an arts and humanities program modeled on Boston’s Copley Roundtable, a discussion group of civic leaders that would invite speakers to present at informal mid-week luncheons.
The Roundtables are breakfast presentations, and each summer, they bring world-class presenters to speak on topics of local, national, and international importance in the fields of politics and foreign policy, economics and finance, philosophy and philanthropy, and the visual and performing arts. John C. Bogle (1929-2019) was the Chair Emeritus of The Adirondack Roundtable.
If the name is familiar, it’s because John Clifton "Jack" Bogle (May 8, 1929 – January 16, 2019) may likely have been part of your 401(k) account or pension plan. An American investor, business magnate and philanthropist, Jack Bogle was the founder and chief executive of The Vanguard Group and is credited with popularizing the index fund.
