During warmer months, guests can take the Eastwind’s private-access stairs down to the beautiful grass-laden landing and explore the banks of the Chubb River. They can also embark on nearby hiking trails that wind through lush forests, climb one of the famous Adirondack High Peaks, kayak or paddleboard on nearby Mirror Lake, or simply bask in the tranquility of nature.

Come winter, the area transforms into a snow-covered wonderland, inviting visitors to ski, snowboard, and go ice skating on the frozen lake or at the Olympic Oval in Lake Placid Village.

Indulge in the area's finest restaurants.

While the property doesn’t have a full-service restaurant, guests can enjoy a cocktail in the delightful bar and lounge, reserved exclusively for hotel patrons. They offer seasonally-inspired hand-crafted beverages and cocktails using fresh ingredients.

The beer list features some of the area’s finest microbrews. Eastwind’s sommelier offers a constantly rotating selection of the finest wines and bubbles.

Eastwind is close to Lake Placid’s best restaurants. Lisa G’s and Salt of the Earth Bistro, two of our favorite spots, are only a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Some of the region's finest dining options are within a short drive or an Uber or taxi ride. ADK Taste recommends Big Slide Brewery, The Hungry Trout and Forty Six, all within five to 20 minutes of the property.

Celebrating a special occasion? For those craving a more intimate culinary experience, Eastwind also offers a private dining option in a former blacksmith shop on the property where guests can enjoy an intimate dining experience for up to 10 people.

Explore Lake Placid and the High Peaks and Tri-Lakes Region.
