Big Slide is a big name in the ADK local craft beer world. Their food and brewpub also deserve praise and recognition. They’ve designed a menu sure to please anyone in your group with an eye toward using locally produced, fresh ingredients.

The restaurant’s creative menu includes tempting starters and small plates, including poutine made with local cheese curds, pickled shishitos (one of several vegan options), and the always popular pretzel bites.
The Harvest Shandy Salad.
When it comes to their salads, this is definitely not rabbit food. Big Slide’s Harvest Shandy Salad is comprised of mixed greens, roasted root vegetables, pickled apples, candied pecans, R&G chevre, and an apple cider shandy vinaigrette. We dig the Bacon Kale Caesar with baby kale, bacon Caesar dressing, Applewood smoked bacon, bacon fat garlic crouton, fried jalapeno straws, and Meier's Mt. Titus cheese.

Heartier fare includes several inventive updates to traditional sandwiches, like the New Steak Sandwich, which features shaved ribeye, Duke's bacon horseradish aioli, New York State cheddar cheese, and brown ale caramelized onions on an Amoroso roll.
Treat your taste buds to the Pulled Chicken Bahn Mi at this Lake Placid restaurant.
The Pulled Chicken Bahn-Mi —hoisin honey garlic pulled chicken thighs, pickled vegetables, radish, cilantro, and sambal aioli on an Amoroso roll. And then Black & White Felafel — warm naan, house black & white bean falafel, feta, vegan cucumber raita, green tahini, spicy harissa oil, and greens. Ask for it without the feta, and it’s another vegan option.

Big Slide Brewery’s hand-made pizzas are in very high demand (don’t be surprised if there’s a wait on crowded days). They make their own dough fresh every day, and like their other menu items, they use local ingredients.

Try the OK Boomer, which has a garlic crème fraiche base, a house cheese blend, mixed mushrooms, baby kale, goat cheese, Dutch Knuckle cheese, fennel pollen, and a truffle balsamic glaze swirl.
Or, opt for the Send-A-Roni Pizza — red sauce base, house cheese blend, sliced pepperoni, green pepper, hot pepper relish, grated parm, and finished with a honey drizzle. Looking for a vegan option? No problem. Check out the Vegan Buffalo Chicken Pizza made with vegan Buffalo sauce base, vegan shredded "mozzarella", vegan chicken tenders, vegan green onions, and topped with vegan blue cheese dressing swirl.
Come for a beer, stay for dinner.
The evening menu offers just as tantalizing options. There is the simply titled The Steak—Wagyu bavette steak seared in beef fat, bone marrow bacon butter, mashed sweet potato, and locally grown vegetables.
Fresh oysters in the Adirondacks? You know it.
The Slammin' Salmon is a pan-seared Faroe Island salmon accompanied by butternut squash risotto and maple grapefruit miso chili compound butter. For something new and different, try the Lentil Shakshuka — stewed lentils with tomato, root vegetables and North African spices topped with a local farm egg, served with warm naan. They can also prepare this dish for vegan diets.
Nightly specials and several other fish, chicken and pasta dishes round out the dinner options.
