Jenkins Mountain Scramble 10k and Half Marathon at Paul Smith’s VIC

Get ready to lace up your shoes and embrace the wilderness at Jenkins Mountain Scramble at Paul Smith’s Visitor Interpretive Center (VIC).

Explore over 40 kilometers of trails spread across 3,000 acres of forest, mountains, bogs, and streams as you challenge your endurance.

Paul Smith’s VIC is ideal for connecting with the Adirondack wilderness and participating in one of the region’s most prominent trail races. Whether you're a seasoned trail runner or a first-timer, this event is perfect for all adventure seekers.

Jenkins Mountain Scramble 10k.

The JMS 10k kicks off at 11 am. The course takes runners along the edge of picturesque Heron Marsh, passes over Shingle Mills Falls bridge, and the tranquil shores of Black and Long ponds, mixing in shaded forest trails along the way.

Jenkins Mountain Scramble Half Marathon.

The JMS Half Marathon starts at 10:30 am. The route follows the same course as the 10k, then turns up the forest road and begins a single-track climb to the Summit of Jenkins Mountain (elev. 2,513 ft).

Upon arrival at the mountain’s base, racers will return to the VIC via Loggers Loop. They will finish on a 1,600-foot boardwalk through a bog habitat to the finish line.
