Bands ‘n Beans Spices Up Lake George in March

The 31st annual competition features the best of local cuisine and music.

Spice up the end of winter with a heaping helping of fun at the Bands 'n Beans – the biggest party in the North Country.

Over twenty local restaurants will feature their best chili recipes, all vying for the prestigious Bands 'n Beans People’s Choice Award.

The fun continues throughout the day with performances by nine of the Adirondack's most popular bands on two stages.

A great event for a great cause.

This event isn’t just a ton of fun; the proceeds from Bands 'n Beans benefit the Lake George Arts Project’s free and open-to-all music and art programs, such as the year-round Courthouse Gallery exhibitions, the Summer Concert Series and the popular Jazz at the Lake, the three-day jazz festival in Lake George Village.

This year’s line-up is sure to keep the dancefloor packed. Bands include:

• The Switch — powerhouse blues-infused funk-injected rock n roll band.

• The Stony Creek Band — local legends playing a high-energy blend of rock, folk, country and bluegrass.

• The Lustre Kings — true-hearted rockabilly with a country core and an unfeigned love of rebel music.

• Vinyl Vault — 2004 Eddies Nominee for Best Cover Band playing everything from Pat Benatar to Joan Jett

• The Ill Funk Ensemble — slick mash-up of hip-hop, neo-soul, R&B and rock that’s been compared to The Roots.
