12th Annual Wilmington Whiteface 100K & 50K Mountain Bike Race
One of the country's most demanding mountain bike races is in the Adirondack High Peaks region.
The legendary Wilmington Whiteface 100K and 50K Mountain Bike Race returns on Sunday, June 2, 2024. Affectionately nicknamed “The Beast from the East,” the event is organized by the Adirondack Sports Council (ADKSC).
The course traces jeep roads near Jay and Saddleback mountains and technical stretches of singletrack at Hardy Road Trails and Blueberry Hills Trails, all while providing breathtaking vistas of Vermont, New England, and the sprawling Adirondack wilderness.
The course, one of the toughest in mountain bike racing in the USA, features a mix of rugged backcountry roads, flowing and smooth singletrack stretches, and plenty of climbing. Competitors in the 100K race must finish in less than eight hours (3 pm is the official finish time).
The race fee includes a finisher medal, athlete t-shirt, post-race meal at the finish festival, and bragging rights of conquering the Beast from the East.
To sign up, visit the Wilmington Whiteface 100k and 50k MTB race website.
If you crave adventure and mountain biking thrills, you do not want to miss this exhilarating, scenic race.
