Wilmington’s Ride for The River
A spectacular Adirondack ride supports Ausable Freshwater Center's conservation work.
Ride for the River on July 14, 2024, has been a do-not-miss celebration of the stunning Ausable River watershed for over a decade. Featuring multiple breathtaking route options, the event also hosts a 20-mile "tailgater" group ride on July 13 for those who'd like to come into town a day or two early to make it a weekend.
The two-day event begins on Saturday, July 13, with a Tailgater ride followed by appetizers and beverages along the river.
The main event is on Sunday, July 14. Registration opens at 8 am, and then the rides begin. Ride for the River features multiple fully supported route distances varying from 20 to 40 miles. There’s a Long Ride that commences at 8:30 am, and then the Short Ride takes off at 9:30 am.
At the finish line, enjoy a tasty BBQ catered by West Shore BBQ and live music by Tyler Dezago.
This fun annual fundraiser directly supports the nonprofit Ausable Freshwater Center's vital work to protect the clean waters, healthy streams, biodiverse habitats, and scenic beauty of the Ausable River watershed.
