Compete in the Froggy Five Mile or Hard as Hell Half Marathon

Warrensburg, NY, is the site for two of the toughest running challenges in the Adirondacks.

If you want to test your strength and endurance, consider entering the Froggy Five Mile or the Hard as Hell Half Marathon in Warrensburg, NY.

Created in 2008, the Froggy Five Mile is held in conjunction with ARE Event Productions' Trail Running Camp. This race run sends participants on an undulating loop around the Dippikill property, a private 1,000-acre wilderness retreat facility owned by the Student Association of the University at Albany.

The race is capped off with a gorgeous view of the Hudson River and Adirondacks. The last 3.5 miles are mostly single-track with some severe climbs.

The Hard as Hell Half Marathon debuted in 2020 and features about 1,400 feet of elevation gain, with 80% dirt roads and 20% pavement. Participants enjoy the serene backroads and low-key atmosphere, making this a quick favorite among local racers.

Everyone who participates can attend a post-race BBQ. The event will have an energetic atmosphere, with music and announcements to entertain participants and spectators.
