Free Screening of TREW Community Film Project Highlighting Adirondack Women
Attend the TREW To You Film Tour in Lake Placid on November 3 and support local contributors, Team Forever Wild.
Last year, TREW Gear, a ski and snowboard apparel company, solicited hundreds of applications from skiers and snowboarders across the U.S. and Canada to create short films showcasing their perspectives, personalities and local stomping grounds. The teams had just six weeks to film and four weeks to edit their films during the winter of 2023.
Ten teams were ultimately selected, and now it's time to enjoy their cinematic endeavors. The public is invited to attend a free screening of the films, get excited about winter, and support the local crew, Team Forever Wild and the Women of the ADKs.
The event will benefit The Barkeater Trail Alliance (aka BETA), an organization that builds, maintains and advocates for a system of community and backcountry trails in the Adirondacks.
Team Forever Wild, a local crew of Josey, Caitlin, Maddie, Kyra, and Connor, is brought together by their love for the 6 million acres of Adirondack Park. In their segment of the film, they are excited to showcase the understated, rugged beauty of the "Forever Wild" wilderness in Upstate New York and celebrate the wild and wonderful women who ski and ride there.
The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Find out more and get tickets HERE. You can also watch Team Forever Wild’s submission online and then VOTE for them. The team with the most votes will receive a $10K cash prize.
