North Country New Year Festival in Saranac Lake

The highly anticipated second annual North Country New Year celebration is set to take place in the charming village of Saranac Lake on December 31, 2024. Last year's event was a remarkable success, marking a joyful revival of the beloved First Night celebration, now reimagined as the North Country New Year.

This festive gathering beautifully combines cherished traditions with a host of exhilarating new attractions, creating a vibrant atmosphere that captivates both locals and visitors alike. Join us for a night filled with excitement, community spirit, and unforgettable memories and usher in the promise of a wonderful New Year.

The event organizers have put in immense effort and creativity to elevate the celebration to new heights this year. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant array of entertainment options that promise to enchant and delight, including:

New Year’s fireworks in Saranac Lake.

• Folk rock band Driftwood headlining Town Hall

• The Gaslight Tinkers play a dance-happy blend of old-time fiddle, funk, Caribbean and African music

• Hip-hop harp music from Küf Knotz and Christine Elise

• Flamenco-to-bluegrass virtuosos Maria Zemantauski and Sten Isachsen

• Ever-popular local favorites, the ‘50s/’60s revivalists Frankie & the Moonlighters

• A hilarious comedy act by Moody McCarthy and Completely Stranded
