Fright Fest 2024 at Great Escape in Lake George

Get ready for a spooky good time in Lake George

In addition to regular park attractions, visitors are treated to many “frightful” experiences, including:

  • Scare Zone has attractions like the Dark Oaks Graveyard, the Dead in the West Ghost Town, and Infested, where nutant humanoid spiders and infected exterminators hunt each other in the dark

  • Costume contests

  • Trick-or-Treat Trail — stop for treats

  • Shows like Monster Mash, The Dead Disco, or visit Caged, the laboratory of a Mad Scientist and his Assistant, where you'll witness their electrifying dance show as they bring dangerous, caged monsters to life

Fright Festers can visit several different immersive haunted experiences, which feature plenty of eery fog, sinister lighting, blood-chilling sounds and creepy props. These attractions are part of the Haunted Maze and are an extra cost on top of your general admission ticket.

Scary clown at FrightFest at Six Flags Great Escape

Frightening clowns await at the Great Escape

  • Hell Block VI: Tour a terrifying prison where the monstrous captives have escaped their cells

  • CarnEVIL: A circus-themed attraction where the clowns aren’t what you remember as a little kid

  • Skull Manor: Be on the lookout for horror legends that lurk around dark corners and don’t miss the super creepy dollhouse

  • Nightmare at CrackAxle Canyon: Located in GhostTown, prepare yourself for the worst at this devastated farm

If you work up an appetite, enjoy tasty, limited-time themed food and beverage offerings, including sangria blood bags, Spookies n’ Cream ice cream, Diablo Chicken, and The Great Escape’s regular offerings.

Note that after 5 pm, things do get a little scarier. Great Escape recommends that guests be 13 or older after 5 pm. They also stipulate

  • No costumes for Guests Over 12

  • No Full Face Masks

  • Full Face Paint Allowed for Age 12 and Under Only (must be removed by 4 pm)
