The Schroon Lake Fish and Game Club’s annual Ice Fishing Derby is a thrilling weekend of challenging water adventures and friendly competition. The competition begins at sunrise on Saturday, March 1, and ends at 4 pm on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
Join the community for the annual Schroon Lake Ice Fishing Derby, held the first weekend of March. This event is open to all anglers looking to test their skills and reel in Lake Trout, Perch, Pickerel, Salmon, and Pike. This year’s derby takes place on March 1 and 2, 2025.

The Derby begins on Saturday at daylight and concludes on Sunday, March 2 at 4 pm.
To participate, purchase tickets at the following locations until Wednesday, February 26:

No registrations will be accepted after 10 am on Saturday, March 1.
