Don’t miss the opportunity to attend a performance of a new play by Canton, NY, playwright Frederic Glover. “The Cure: An Adirondack Story” is inspired by real people who lived before the cure for Tuberculosis was discovered. Directed by George Cordes, this stirring production is presented by the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts.

The play is set in the summer of 1936 when a New York City writer seeks a cure for tuberculosis at the famous Saranac Lake Health resort. Her story intertwines with the life and struggles of Dr. Edward Trudeau, who was dedicated to finding a cure for the disease in the late 1800s.

Their intersecting storylines highlight the multifaceted struggle to overcome this deadly pandemic.
