Halloween in Lake Placid, NY, is an annual celebration that attracts locals and visitors alike. The Adirondack’s Famous All-Day Halloween Festival is a day-long slate of activities that takes place on Halloween Day, October 31, 2023. This year's event promises to be another spooktacular Halloween celebration in Lake Placid.
Organizers have planned a full day of spooky fun, starting with the Halloween Parade on Main Street at noon. Participants are encouraged to show up at 11:50 am on Saranac Avenue to join the parade. The parade is always a sight to behold, with ghosts, goblins, and other costumed creatures marching down Main Street. The parade is a family-friendly event that everyone can enjoy.
Immediately following the parade, trick-or-treating commences on Main Street. Local businesses will be handing out treats until 5 pm. This is an excellent opportunity for kids to fill their candy bags with their favorite treats.
In the evening, the Halloween Dance takes place at Crown Plaza. The dance is divided into three age groups: elementary and younger (3-5 pm), middle school (6-8 pm), and high school (9-12 graders) (6-10 pm). All events are free, and everyone is encouraged to come in costume.
The Halloween Dance is a fantastic opportunity for kids and teens to show off their costumes and dance the night away. The dance is always a popular event, and there will be plenty of music, food, and fun for everyone.
In addition to the parade, trick or treating, and Halloween Dance, many other spooky events occur throughout the day in Lake Placid. The town has Halloween-themed decorations, haunted houses and other spooky attractions.

Here’s the schedule:
Noon: Halloween Parade on Main Street (begin lining up at 11:50 on Saranac Ave.
Immediately following the parade, trick or treating commences on Main Street until 5 pm.
Halloween Dance at Crown Plaza:
3-5 pm for little ghosts and goblins (elementary and younger)
6:00-8:30 pm for Middle School (6-8)
6-10 pm for High School (9-12 graders)
