4th of July Family Games in Inlet, NY

Honor America’s birthday at one of the Central Adirondacks’ most popular villages.

Families and friends gather for 4th of July festivities in Inlet, NY.

Inlet, NY, in the Central Adirondacks region of New York State, is preparing for an unforgettable 4th of July.

The Inlet Youth Commission is planning family-friendly games at Fern Park on the Fourth of July, starting at 10:30 am.

Among the fun and action are a scavenger hunt and a variety of field games at Fern Park, including water balloon toss, sack races, and more contests with prizes. Refreshments will also be provided.

Join the American Legion Post #1402 as they explain the meaning of the American flag and show how to destroy it properly and respectfully after it has faded and worn. The American Legion's Flag Retirement Ceremony will also occur at Fern Park.

In the evening, join the festivities on Arrowhead Lakefront for live music by Jamie Notarthomas starting at 7:30 pm and FIREWORKS at dusk shot from a barge on Fourth Lake.

Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy a great concert while watching one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Adirondack Park.

This concert is presented by The Town of Inlet, Bruce and Margie O’Hara, and Charlie and Marsha Herr.

Fireworks provide the perfect ending to a spectacular 4th of July in the Adirondacks.
