Chestertown’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a quintessential small-town celebration. It unites the community at that delightful moment in spring when everyone is eager to emerge from their winter hibernation and gather together.

The lively procession features local organizations, each adding its unique flair to the festivities. Spectators line the streets, their cheers mingling with the energetic notes of bagpipers, the rhythmic beats of drummers, and the joyful tunes played by talented musicians.
There’s a palpable sense of pride as public servants, dedicated community volunteers, and local heroes from town services proudly march by, followed by the impressive sights and sounds of fire trucks and road crews showcasing their essential roles.
Laughter and excitement fill the air along with a shared spirit of camaraderie that makes Chestertown’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration truly special.
This year is the 13th anniversary of the parade, which takes place on Saturday, March 15, at 2 pm. In addition to the parade, enjoy live music and food, and Arrow Bank will provide free popcorn.
