Support Community, Hope and World Records in Inlet, NY

One Square Mile of Hope raises awareness of the needs of children’s hospitals and first responders.

In the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, cradled among lush forests and pristine waters, you'll find Fourth Lake in Inlet, NY. This serene setting transforms into a bustling hub of activity and excitement every few years as thousands of paddlers come together for the One Square Mile of Hope event.

Since 2008, this extraordinary occurrence has achieved multiple Guinness World Records. It all began with a small group of dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly to break and reclaim the Guinness World Record several times for the largest raft of canoes, kayaks, and guide boats, all while raising funds for worthy causes.

While One Square Hope holds the current World Record for the largest raft of canoes, kayaks, and guidebooks, the organization’s board and committee members are looking to shatter their own record.

The 2024 event will benefit Golisano Children’s Hospitals in Syracuse and Rochester, which support Adirondack families, as well as local First Responder organizations.

Moreover, One Square Mile of Hope emphasizes environmental stewardship. The event organizers take great care to preserve Fourth Lake's natural beauty.
