Light Up Saranac Lake for the Holidays

Enjoy a fire truck parade, tree lighting and a special visit from St. Nick in the Adirondacks.

Tree Lighting in Saranac Lake

The Village of Saranac Lake welcomes the return of the annual Light Up Saranac Lake holiday celebration on Friday, December 6. This family-friendly event features a spectacular lighted fire truck parade, a festive tree lighting, and a special visit from St. Nick.

Lighted Fire Truck Parade - 6 pm

Saranac Lake Holiday Events
  • Local Adirondack Fire Departments convene in Saranac Lake

  • The parade route is from Broadway to Main Street

  • Trucks will be adorned with bright lights and decorations and escorted by an exceptional guest in a jolly red suit with a white beard

Berkeley Green Tree Lighting - 6: 15 pm

  • Join the festivities when Santa lights the tree in Berkeley Green in the Village of Saranac Lake

  • Partake in a festive holiday sing-a-long, and enjoy cookies and hot cocoa — next to a roaring bonfire

Visit With Santa - 7 pm

  • Following the parade, Santa will be at the library — where kids are welcome to visit with him

  • Tell St. Nick your wish-list and snap a photo
