Flags representing U.S. Veteran’s and active service members.

Fort William Henry Museum in Lake George presents their annual Field of Flags display in November to recognize Veterans’ Day.

Fort William Henry Museum places over 9,000 flags in a field on the west part of the fort once a year. Each flag has the name of an active duty or veteran according to time served and branch of service.

On November 11, there will be an official Commemoration Wreath Laying amongst the field of flags followed by a musket salute at 10:30 am.

Stop by to pay your respects to those who have served in the American military, past and present, for their service and sacrifice.

Located in the center of Lake George, the replica of Fort William Henry is on the footprint of the original 1755 fort. The original Fort William Henry provided a strategic staging ground to protect the inland waterway from attacks from the French.
