Bike the Barns in the Adirondack Lake Champlain Region
Secure your spot now for this popular fall event.
In the fall, the picturesque Adirondacks resonate with the sound of spinning wheels and the joyful chatter of cyclists participating in one of the region's most cherished events: Bike the Barns. It takes place each year in the Lake Champlain region, in the northwest corner of the Adirondack Park.
Organized by the Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA), this annual cycling tour is more than just a ride through stunning scenery. It celebrates sustainable agriculture, local food, and the community spirit that defines the North Country.
Check out some of the Adirondacks’ best farms.
The Bike the Barns fall bicycling tour features farm stops (complete with tours of each), but what makes this event special is its ability to tell the rich agricultural story of the Lake Champlain Valley while experiencing the landscape by bike.
When moving by pedal power, you can see, smell and absorb so much more. This year’s Bike the Barns route is genuinely something special. Not only does it feature low-traffic rural roads with sweeping farm views of the Lake Champlain and Ausable River valleys, but it also includes a roll through historic downtown Keeseville and an unparalleled view of the natural wonder of Ausable Chasm.
This is highlighted by educational farm stops, where riders can learn more about the region's rich agriculture. The Bike the Barns tour starts and ends at Ausable Brewing in Keeseville.
Stops along the way include:
