10th Annual Tupper Lake 8-Miler
Compete in a Canoe, Kayak & SUP Race in the Adirondack Tri-Lakes & High Peaks region.
The annual Celebrate Paddling ADK Festival takes place every June in the Tri-Lakes communities of the Adirondack Park. One of the highlights is the Tupper Lake 8-Miler, set for Saturday, June 22, 2024.
The Tupper Lake 8-Miler is a Canoe, Kayak & SUP Race. This year, it starts at the Town of Tupper Lake Boat Launch on State Route 30. The course takes paddlers under the Route 30 bridge, up the Raquette River to the Oxbow and then back to the boat launch.
The entry fee is $30; the first 50 registrants will receive a t-shirt. Register online now. Onsite registration will run from 9 to 10:30 am on race day.
The race starts at 11 am.
There will be a post-race BBQ as well as an award ceremony and a few raffle prizes. There will be T-shirts for the first 55 registrants: medium, large and extra large. All proceeds from the race will go to the Heart Center of the Adirondack Medical Center.
And for those keeping track, the Tupper Lake 8-miler is a New York Paddlesports Race Association points race for canoes and kayaks.
