Where to Ski Now in the Adirondacks - January 24
Our ski editors report on trail conditions in the Adirondack Mountains.
January 24, 2025
The polar-like weather continued in the Adirondack Mountains this week. Our fearless ski editorial team reports that a few places received more natural snow this week. However, cold weather enabled Adirondack ski resorts to keep the snowmaking at full blast.
The current weather report tells us we could get a break from recent arctic conditions. However, temperatures will only climb into the mid-20s in most places, and wind chills could make it feel at least 10 degrees colder.
If you’re on the slopes, cover exposed skin, take frequent breaks inside the lodges, and stay hydrated. Also, dress appropriately in warm, moisture-wicking layers (cotton can kill in cold weather).
