Presidents’ Day Week is one of the biggest winter holidays on the Adirondack calendar. There are almost unlimited events and activities this weekend, but many people will be here to indulge in skiing and snowboarding. Mother Nature rewards them with some of the best conditions of the year.
Top winter sports venues like Gore, Whiteface, and West Mountain reported receiving close to or more than 2 feet of snow this past week. Several Central Adirondack ski centers accumulated nearly a foot of snow in the past seven days. More winter weather is expected on Saturday and Sunday.

Some winter sports venues cap the number of guests each day. Check to see if tickets are available before you head to the mountain on peak holiday times.

Gore received 2 feet of fresh snow this week. However, if you haven’t purchased tickets for Saturday and Sunday yet, you’re out of luck; they are sold out. Visit Gore’s website for conditions next week.
Whiteface reports 28” of fresh snow this week, for a 3-week total of 50”. Almost the entire mountain is open, plus The Slides. Visit Whiteface’s website for the latest conditions.
Snow Ridge received 12” since Sunday for a total of 187” for the season. It should be a super weekend for skiing. Check their website for the latest conditions.
West Mountain will have 30 of its 35 trails open, and it’s their annual Fire On The Mountain Festival on Saturday. Visit West’s website for more details.

Titus Mountain, Malone, NY
Titus received 11” of new snow since last Sunday. On Friday, 52 of their 53 trails were open. Visit their website for the latest snow report.
Oak Mountain Ski Area has 22 of 22 trails open, with 11” of new snow over the past week. Visit Oak’s website for current trail conditions.
McCauley garnered 13” of new snow this week and has 100% of its terrain open. Visit their website for their latest snow report.
