The winter sports season is off to a great start at Gore. They’ve received close to 20” of natural snow, and with the cold weather we’ve been having, they’ve been making snow almost non-stop. Visit Gore’s website for the most current details on conditions at New York’s largest ski resort.
In the last week alone, Whiteface received 22” of snow, 7” of which fell in the last 24 hours—just in time for Santa Sunday. For the latest on conditions, visit their website.
West Mt. reports six of 25 trails open with machine-groomed and packed-powder conditions. Visit the West Mt. website for the latest snow and ski conditions.
Oak Mountain Ski Area opens this weekend with two of its 22 trails open. Visit Oak Mountain’s website for the latest snow conditions.
Titus Mountain, Malone, NY
Titus Mountain, home of the slopeside Skibana, received an impressive 12 to 18” base and 4” in the last 5 days. Visit Titus Mt.’s website for the latest trail conditions.

Snow Ridge is ideally located on New York’s snow magnet, the Tug Hill Plateau. They report they received 18” of snow in the past 24 hours and 56” so far this season. They will be open this weekend. For the latest conditions, visit Snow Ridge’s website.
McCauley Mountain ski area in Old Forge, NY, expects to open on December 26. Visit McCauley’s website for the latest conditions.
