An original Tribble prop. Does it resemble the hair-do of a certain political figure?

Tribbles: the scourge of the Milky Way galaxy?
I would never presume to qualify as a Trekkie, but I’ve seen enough episodes of Star Trek to feel confident that "The Trouble with Tribbles" is one of the series' best. Entertainment Weekly ranked #6 of the the 10 essential Star Trek original series episodes.

Who wouldn’t love a Tribble?
The first “Tribbles” appear is in the fifteenth episode of the second season of the original Star Trek series. David Gerrold wrote the episode, which was directed by Joseph Pevney. It was first broadcast on December 29, 1967 (fatefully, my birthday).
In this In this delightfully amusing episode, the starship Enterprise visits Deep Space Station K7 and soon finds itself overwhelmed by rapidly reproducing small furry creatures, known as "Tribbles." Hilarity ensues.
As a child, I loved Star Trek for its adventurous and exploratory themes. The mission of the Starship Enterprise, famously expressed in the split infinitive, was "to boldly go where no man has gone before." Even at a young age, I appreciated the show's focus on exploring new worlds and encountering diverse alien civilizations with a diplomatic and optimistic perspective.

Tribbles collectible toys.
However, something about the Tribbles made Star Trek feel more accessible to me. I adored the furry, slow-moving, cute, and cooing creatures. I immediately wanted one of my own, which likely sparked a pre-teen obsession with guinea pigs.
The Tribbles are eventually revealed to be a scourge, and without revealing too much of the plot, are dealt with by Chief Engineer Scott (aka - Scotty), who declares at the end of the episode in one of television’s greatest puns, "they'll be no tribble at all."
By the way, on a recent visit to the Star Trek Tour, my friends purchased for me my very own animatronic Tribble, making a girlhood dream come true.
