Saranac Lake Winter Carnival 2024: Ice Palace Lighting & Fireworks
Saturday's events include a Fun Run, the 2024 Saranac Lake Ice Palace lighting, and spectacular fireworks.
The magic continues at Saranac Lake’s Annual Winter Carnival on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Every February, for 10 days, Saranac Lake in the Tri-Lakes and High-Peaks region of New York State’s Adirondack Park transforms into a magical winter wonderland. The town puts on a variety of fun-filled winter activities for the whole family to enjoy.
A full day of fun events capped off by the lighting of the Ice Palace and fireworks.
The day will be filled with fun, family-friendly outdoor and indoor events. Highlights include:
4-mile Fun Run
Arctic Golf Contest
Chocolate Festival
Woodsmen Skills demo
Icicle contest
Curling demonstration and competition
Little Ladies’ Fry Pan Toss.
This year's Saranac Lake Winter Carnival theme is "Creepy Carnival." The event will feature family-friendly Halloween-inspired activities in the Adirondack village of Saranac Lake.

10 am NBT Bank Ice Palace Fun Run - 4 miles (Ice Palace, State Boat Launch)
10 am - 3 pm Edward Jones Arctic Golf Build-an-Obstacle Contest (Prescott Park next to the State Boat Launch)
10 am - 4 pm *Paul Smith's Booster Club Chocolate Festival (Romano's Saranac Bowling Lanes, 11 Bloomingdale Ave)

1 pm *Women's Civic 3rd Corn-a-ment Cornhole Tournament — On the ice in front of Saranac Waterfront Lodge, $42 registration fee per 2-player team. Benefits SL Youth Center. Register online.
