51st Annual Adirondack Balloon Festival
A celebration of community, art, and the natural beauty of the Adirondacks near Glens Falls.
The 51st annual Adirondack Balloon Festival takes flight from September 19 to 22, 2024. This free event is one of the most iconic and picturesque events in the northeastern United States, drawing thousands of visitors to the skies of Glens Falls, New York, every September.
This amazing Festival showcases a wide variety of hot air balloons. You'll witness the usual round and colorful balloons and some balloons shaped in unexpected ways. Come out and watch these vibrant balloons ascend into the sky with an array of colors and decorations.
Balloons take flight multiple times during the Festival.
On each day of the event, the balloons will take to the skies at least twice daily, once in the early morning hours and then around 5:30 pm. Usually, on Saturday evening, there is a “Moonglow” at 7:30 pm with up to 50 balloons.
The Moonglow is a stationary display of a select number of balloons at the airport location only. It features a musically synchronized, inflated balloon show. Balloons do not fly during a “moonglow” event.
