There are still a few spots to see the fall leaves at their peak in the Adirondacks this weekend.

Fall foliage season continues in the Adirondacks, and while many popular destinations are past peak foliage, there are still great opportunities to see beautiful fall colors.
Set your GPS to Warren County to see leaves at their peak.
Leaf Scouts advise that Lake George and nearby towns offer some of the best places to see near-complete leaf change with a brilliant assortment of golden yellows, burnt oranges and burgundy reds.

Adirondack fall festival fun
Observers in Queensbury in the southern foothills of the Adirondacks report peak conditions with 95% foliage change and bright red, orange and yellow leaves.
If you’re out leaf-peeping in the Warren County area, check out the fun at the Fall Festival in Stony Creek, presented by Revolution Rail and 1,000 Acres Ranch. Or, stop by Northway Brewing Co.'s Oktoberfest in Queensbury.
Lake Champlain and the ADK Coast also offer opportunities to see the fall foliage transition.
The leaf patrol from Essex County, reporting from the Lake Champlain Visitors Center in Crown Point, predicts that the foliage will be between 60-85% changed by this weekend. The colors observed will be patches of russets, yellow golds, and occasional oranges and reds. The stage of change will range from midpoint to near-peak, with more advanced leaf progression in higher elevations.
In the Ticonderoga area, leaves should be around the midpoint of change, mostly green and yellow leaves and some red touches. Leaf transition is occurring slowly in some areas and quicker in others, with many trees still green and some higher elevations appearing past peak.
