Venice is a city with a long history of attracting artists from around the world. Countless artists have captured its grand canals, unique architecture and romantic ambiance over the centuries. From paintings to photographs, artists have used different mediums to showcase the beauty of Venice.
The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls presents Venetian Vistas, an exhibit that focuses on the works of those creative artisans who visited Venice from the 18th to the 21st century. The exhibition highlights the diverse approaches taken by artists, highlighting some of the city's essential landmarks and how artists have captured the effects of light, water, and reflection.
The exhibit will feature works from The Hyde Collection’s permanent collection, as well as pieces on loan from museums around the northeast.
