The 2023 Bitters & Bones Turkey Trot is ready to run. Join the fun and dive deep to help support two excellent local causes: the Saranac Lake Interfaith Food Pantry and the Saranac Lake Student Needs Fund.

Two paths to trot to make an impact in Saranac Lake.

The Turkey Trot is both a month-long virtual competition and an epic in-person race on Thanksgiving Day. Whether you pound the pavement, bolt down beaches, or tackle trails, all you need to do is run your feathers off this November and track your miles and progress online.

Celebrate Thanksgiving Day with a fun 5K run in downtown Saranac Lake in the morning. The run is a great way to get moving before the big feast, and there will be refreshments, auctions, and a fantastic community of runners, families, and friends to enjoy.

Great causes. Great prizes.

Not only will you get the health benefits of exercise and the satisfaction of supporting worthy causes, but there are also prizes to be won. The runner who raises the most money from sponsors and the Trotter who runs the most miles will receive a $1,000 Bitters gift card. So, gather your friends, family, and even estranged relatives to donate to your run and increase your chances of winning.

Last year, the event raised $90,000 for charity, and this year's goal is to surpass that amount. So, lace up your running shoes and trot your way to victory.

Visit the Bitters & Bones website to learn how to participate.

And now a little inspiration from 2019….
