Looking for another way to enjoy the great outdoors this winter? Welcome the season, embrace romance, and discover nostalgia by riding on a horse-drawn sleigh at the Paul Smith’s College Visitor’s Interpretive Center.
Sleigh rides at Paul Smith’s in the Adirondacks.
Sleigh rides are more than circling a track; they’re fodder for vacation-defining moments and stories to share back home. Enjoy the majestic trip through the forest under a thick blanket, then return to warm up next to a roaring outdoor campfire, or enjoy a meal inside the Frank M. Hutchins Lodge.
Rides run every 45 minutes from 11 pm to 12:30 pm. The cost is $25 per person. You can reserve your spot via online registration.
The sleigh's capacity is limited to 6. If you have trouble purchasing tickets at checkout, please choose a different time and/or date.

A long tradition of practical horse care and tending to draft horses.
Horses have long been integral to the Paul Smith’s College experience. Through the Forestry Department, students learn about driving and practical horse care. The Draft Horse Club is one of the most active student organizations on campus.
The club offers weekly free wagon rides for students, organizes fundraising and community outreach events, and participates in various PSC events as requested. Additionally, the Program collaborates with the Forestry Department to provide a Draft Horse Management course available to all PSC students. The Program is also developing new classes and workshops in partnership with the VIC, the Town of Saranac, local farms, and others.
