Final plans for Lake George's 2024 Winter Carnival are still being determined, but it’s a perfect event to celebrate with your loved one.
Traditional events already on the schedule include:
Keep warm and toasty with your honey by the bonfires on the beach while the Lil’ ADKers enjoy various arts and crafts and games at Shephard Park between Noon and 3 pm.
Pony rides are also available at Shephard Park during this time, but please note that this activity has a fee.
At 2:30 pm, show off your beloved beast at the LG Dogs Got Talent contest, sponsored by the Dog Cabin.
Looking for a bonding experience with your significant other? Why not participate in the Polar Plunge at 3 pm in the frigid Adirondack waters of Lake George? Make sure to register in advance or at the Souvenir Tent in Shephard Park. And don’t forget to bring a towel!
If you're looking for a more relaxing way to enjoy the winter scenery, take a romantic horse-drawn carriage or sleigh ride on Canada Street with “A Time to Remember.” Please note that there is a fee for this activity. For more information, you can call Tina at 518.321.5539.
Attend the BBQ cookoff to enjoy some mouthwatering local barbecue. Tickets are required and sell out fast, so get yours when they go on sale on November 20.
Although the weather can affect the activities, the organizers are always prepared to make necessary changes. To stay updated on all the events, you can follow the Lake George Winter Carnival Facebook page for the latest information.
