Start 2024 with a Splash at the Polar Plunge in Speculator

It’s time for the annual Speculator and Lake Pleasant Polar Plunge in the Central Adirondacks.

Strap on your life preservers and get ready for a big dip, The Polar Plunge returns to Speculator on New Year’s Day 2024.

Jump in, the water will be fine on Monday, January 1st, at noon at the Boat Launch at the Speculator Pavilion and Park.

Spectators are welcome, and organizers encourage them to cheer on the brave souls taking an icy dip into 2024.

Polar Bear Swims/Polar Plunges/Polar Bear Dips are a traditional way to welcome the New Year in the U.S. and globally. This is an excellent opportunity to begin the New Year with a bracing, fresh start.

Donations from Speculator’s Plunge will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. After the plunge, warm up at the Lemon Tree Brewery with hot chocolate or other choice beverage.
