A community celebration of local farms and farmers.
The town of Essex hosts it’s annual chili cook-off competition in February.
Embrace the warmth of community and shake off those mid-winter blues at a delightful celebration of local farmers and talented growers. Join a heartwarming and fun chili cook-off.

Tantalize your taste buds with samples of select chilis. The Essex Chili Cook-Off ticket includes a chili dinner prepared by Essex Initiatives, a non-alcoholic beverage, live music, and a taste of select chilis!
This festive event is brought to you by Essex Initiatives in partnership with the Whallonsburg Grange Hall, happening on February 16, 2025, from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Gather your friends and family for an afternoon filled with delicious food, great company, and the celebration of our hardworking local agricultural community!
