Warren County Homesteading and 4-H Youth Fair
The Warren County Youth Fair provides a great opportunity for Lil’ ADKers (and not so Lil’) between the ages of 5 and 19 to show what they’ve learned this year. Exhibit categories include photography, creative arts, baking, horticulture, natural resources, and mechanical sciences. Ribbons will be awarded for the best exhibits.
Participants and their displays are judged according to the capability of the 4-Her, and not by comparing one child against another. Some exhibits will be selected to go to the thrilling New York State Fair in Syracuse. Did we tell you about seeing KC and the Sunshine Band there with our 4H Troop? We can talk about that another time.
Attendees of the Fair can participate in a variety of fun activities, including a dime toss, pie-eating, Hula-Hoop and bubble gum-blowing contests. Master Gardeners will conduct seed-starting demonstrations as well as offer guided tours of an educational garden and an arboretum. Other community organizations will also set up displays.
Bring your returnable bottles for the 4-H fundraising bottle drive, which supports their youth programs.
The event takes place Saturday, August 5, from 9 am to 1 pm at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Warren County offices and Training Center, 377 Schroon River Rd. in Warrensburg.
