SpeakEazy Storytelling Open Mic at Whitcomb’s
Gather with fellow Adirondack storytellers to connect through sharing personal stories and memorable anecdotes.
Come and join other storytellers at Whitcomb’s Community Room, part of The Grange in Whallonsburg, for an evening of storytelling. Community members and visitors from all backgrounds and experiences can share or listen to personal stories in a safe and supportive environment without pressure or judgment.
Hosted by storytellers Mac MacDevitt and Chris Locke, the Storytelling Open Mic is a community-based event that Bell Fire Arts Collective and Whitcomb’s Arts co-sponsor.
The sign-up list opens at 6:45 (if you want to tell a story). $5 suggested donation. The event begins at 7 pm.
You don't need any experience to participate. Any story is perfect, whether it's your life story or something interesting you saw on the bus last week. You can share family stories, funny stories, or even heartbreaking stories. You can talk from the heart or bring notes with you if you need them. You'll have seven minutes to take the stage and share your story when your name is called.
Mac MacDevitt and Gabrielle Schutz host the Open Mic.
