Winter Birding Weekend in Long Lake, New York

Bohemian Waxwings Chilling in the ADK

On Saturday, January 28, and Sunday, January 29, Adirondack avian expert Joan Collins will lead an Adirondack winter birding expedition in Long Lake.

Over the course of two days, participants will learn to spot and listen for some of the ADK’s most interesting birds.

Tours on both Saturday and Sunday are free and start at 8 am.

While the group will observe and discuss many varieties of birds, they will also be on the lookout for certain eye-catching species, including Bohemian Waxwings and Pine Grosbeaks, that are expected to be in full force this winter and according to Ms. Collins.
