It’s the Best 4th in the North in Ticonderoga
Four days of fun and celebration on Lake Champlain.
The big day arrives at The Best 4th In The North Celebration in Ticonderoga, NY. The four-day, family-friendly Independence Day festival concludes with a full day of festivities and patriotic celebrations.
Events include a live reading of the Declaration of Independence, the annual Patriotic Parade, the 36th Montcalm Mile run, stilt walkers, and, of course, a spectacular fireworks display.
July 4 schedule of events.
12:30 pm: Reading of the Declaration of Independence — Mark Wright, Town of Ticonderoga Supervisor, will read the Declaration on the steps of the Town of Ticonderoga Community Building.
1:15 pm: Parade Route Closes — Streets will close in preparation for the parade from the “Welcome To Ticonderoga Sign” on Wicker Street to the Monument and down Montcalm Street to Tower Avenue.
1:30 pm: Adirondack Independence Riders Motorcycle Parade — Parade Route to Glens Falls National Bank. Motorcycles will then take a left to exit Montcalm Street. Brought to you by a volunteer motorcycle community group. In honor of Mike Rancour to benefit the Best 4th In The North. All motorcycles participating in the parade must be at Ti Automotive by 1:15 pm.
1:45 pm: 36th Running of the Montcalm Mile — Runners of all ages are invited to participate along the parade route. Advanced registration is required via the La Chute Road Runners website. Brought to you by the La Chute Road Runners.
2:00 pm: Annual Patriotic Parade: 2024 Grand Marshal – Pam Moser — Downtown Ticonderoga. The bandstand will be in front of the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Office. Music and sound system by DJ Cruz.
4 pm – 10 pm: Food Trucks & Vendors
4 pm – 9 pm: Kid’s Inflatable Fun Zone & Giant Lawn Games — Includes multiple themed bounce houses, obstacle courses, slides, and giant outdoor lawn games. Fun Zone will light up at night. Fun Zone Bracelets are $20 for 1, $35 for 2, and $10 for any additional bracelet. Bracelets are only valid for the day of purchase.
5 pm — 6 pm: Patriotic Stilt Walkers
6 pm – 9:30 pm: Live Music Featuring Superstars & Legends Live — Featuring an array of celebrity tribute artists performing numerous hits. Performers may include Michael Jackson, Elvis, Johnny Cash, and others.
9:30 pm: Grand Fireworks Display of Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park
