Blue Mountain Sizzler 5K: It’ll Melt Your Socks

Run or walk in this 5K race in the Central Adirondacks.

The picturesque town of Blue Mountain Lake in the Central Adirondacks is the spot for this 5K for the whole family.

The Blue Mountain Lake Association is sponsoring and organizing this event, and proceeds will benefit the Association’s Project Fund.

Participants can choose the category they prefer, and there’s an event for Lil’ ADKers:

• 5K Road Race

• 5K Recreational walk/Jog

• Kids’ Half Mile

The race begins and ends at the field behind the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts on NY Route 28.

Registration is available online as well as on race day.

Here’s the run of show:

7:15 am — Number pick-up and race day registration

8:20 am — 5K Walkers start

8:30 am — 5K Run begins

9:15 am — Kids’ race commences

During the race, participants will have the advantage of professional timing, water station, and water at the finish.

Following the race, awards will be presented to the 1st male and the 1st female overall, and then age group awards.

Important: It is a 10-minute walk from number pickup to the starting line, so race organizers ask that participants allow enough time to pick up their number but avoid loitering at the starting line.
